Aeolian Islands
The Aeolian Islands (also called Lipari Islands), are part of one of the three archipelagos of Sicily, the other two are those of the Egadi and the Pelagie.
Defined as the " seven pearls of the Mediterranean : Lipari, Salina, Vulcano, Stromboli, Filicudi, Alicudi and Panarea.
They owe their name to the Greek wind god Aeolus.
- 1 Lipari, the largest of the islands, impresses visitors with its picturesque streets, colorful houses and the pumice quarry.
- 2 Vulcano a corner of paradise among spectacular landscapes, spa activities and black sand beaches. Unmissable is the trek to the crater which offers breathtaking views and thermal mud pools.
- 3 Stromboli offers a variety of archaeological sites and museums, the island is characterized by its volcano which constantly erupts.
- 4 Salina is ideal for sea lovers looking for peace and relaxation, famous for the beaches Lingua, Pollara and the Malvasia wine production.
- 5 Panarea is the smallest and most glamorous of the islands characterized by all the white houses, often frequented by VIPs, it offers luxury, boutiques, luxury restaurants.
- 6 Filicudi offers trekking paths, vineyards, beaches, crystal clear sea and breathtaking views.
- 7 Alicudi is an uncontaminated island thanks to the absence of motor vehicles, the only means of transport are mules and boatmen. The island offers spectacular views and uncontaminated nature.

• How to get :
- Catania airport is located approximately (1 hour and 40 minutes by car)
from Milazzo, which together with Messina are the closest ports to reach the Aeolian Islands
