Cefalù

The small and enchanting medieval village of Cefalù is among the most beautiful in Italy and the Norman Cathedral is a UNESCO heritage site.
Cefalù rises at the foot of the Madonie mountains, extending for approximately 65 km2 to the east in the provincial area of Palermo .
Founded by the Greeks with the name of Kephaloidion , the features of the domination by the Romans, the Byzantines and the Normans are still visible throughout the city and constitute key points of interest, as well as unmissable attractions among the things to visit in Cefalù.
The image of the city is inextricably linked to the imposing fortress 270 meters above sea level which dominates the entire landscape, and is also one of the best panoramic points from which to admire the village. Among the attractions not to be missed in Cefalù you cannot miss a visit to the Cathedral in the heart of the historic center at the foot of the Rocca, for archeology lovers the Temple of Diana , art lovers can visit the Mandralisca Museum .
