Agrigento

The city of Agrigento is located in the south-east of Sicily. It is known for the ruins of the ancient city of Akragas and the Valley of the Temples , a vast archaeological site with Greek temples that brings together the charm of architectural remains with the beauty of the almond blossom countryside.
Agrigento is also the birthplace of Luigi Pirandello , right here is the writer's house , to which a theater has been dedicated.
On the outskirts of the
modern city is the Regional Archaeological Museum of Agrigento which houses artefacts and a giant male statue.
Agrigento is located a few kilometers from
Mediterranean and boasts some of the most beautiful beaches and breathtaking cliffs such as the Scala dei Turchi to the West and the Punta Bianca Reserve to the East of the city, or the beautiful seaside resort Porto Empedocle
