Palermo
Palermo is the capital of Sicily and the fifth largest city in Italy.
The historic center of the city is characterized by a combination of Norman architecture, parks, gardens and street food markets with typical food.
Founded by the Phoenicians in the 7th century BC, the city was subsequently conquered by the Romans, then occupied by the Vandals and followed by the Ostrogoths until the conquest of Garibaldi .
The city enchants Italian and foreign tourists thanks to the many historical monuments that are part of it including; the Cathedral or Duomo, the Norman Palace, the Palatine Chapel, the fountain of shame, the Capuchin catacombs ....
Sicily, as well as Palermo, is characterized by local markets that offer street food with characteristic food, one of the most important is the Ballarò Market. A visit to this city can also offer moments of relaxation and swimming in the clear waters of the white and fascinating beach of Mondello, just a few minutes from Palermo
